intelligence committee. good to see you this afternoon. what is your take on all of this? how serious is it? just the usual bluster from north korea or could it morph in to something else? >> it is more than the usual bluster. the reason i say this is, kim jong-un, i don't know if he is able to turn this off. this time of year, north korea starts activity like this. but his father knew when to cal brate it and step it back. he could get himself out on a limb and hostilities could emerge. for instance the south korea president said if north korea carries out an attack they will retailiate. that was not the case in the past. the inspection of troops and troop movements. obama administration is doing the right thing by having b-52

get away with the free shots. >> i assume that you would look at taking out a missile if they are about to launchh one. i don't to put words in your mouth. what would you do and what could the potential fall out from that be? it is preemptive and the fall out is almost the same. and that situation occurred we would have to take what is essential to defend the united states. if someone is aiming the gun at you. you don't have to wait to pull the trigger before you take action. having our air assets over there and making it clear we'll stand with south korea. can china is the one party if

9:14 am
capitol creation and regulations that continue to come out by the thousands on obama care and no small business can cope with those? >> talk to us about the unemployment level and it went down 7.6 percent . during the election campaign there was a reduction in the unemployment rate and a lot was made of the reduction and this is going down for all of the wrong reasons, isn't it? >> that's right. you mentioned earlier that the labor force participation rates are the lowest since march of 1979 and more over a part of the jobs report is disturbing and created by small businesses according to a household survey and only 1.2 million in the last year and after the recoveryy to have that creation on what is supposed to be the sweet spot of the economy and small businesses that create the new jobs and have that level of new job creationn is very, very disappoint does not harbor well for future job
9:15 am
creation. >> we hit robust job creation and now we see this report. is this a one month blip as pay roll taxes and obama care are absorbed. >> this was a particularly bad months but look at the last three or four years we created if we had job creation in the previous recoveries we would have four million new jobs today. instead we have a declining labor force creation. that was jobs than we normally have. even though it was particularly bad and previous months were okay. long term three or four yearr trend is disappointing. >> a new offer coming from the president in the long-awaited budget that cuts entitlement in exchange for tax revenue raisers.
9:16 am
is there a chance it would pass and could that add a little bit more certainty in terms of what the corporations in this country are looking at causing them and perhaps causing them to hire more people? >> no, not at all. the cuts in the part of social security, fooling around with the cost of living index and you can make a case that is already lower than it should be. the idea that we have no inflation is perposterous and the president is throwing out there to make the republicans look like the bad guys and putting in new tax increases. the president got major tax increases on the so-called wealthy in january. what does that tell them in this country there may be more down the road. it is it a nonstarter for host of reasons in terms of dealing with entitlements and creating confidence.
